Drawing Salve

Schmitz Salve® provides antiseptic, antibacterial and skin soothing properties. It is also safe to use on pets. If you have high level of sensitivity on your skin, we recommend first do a patch test for allergic reactions.

Lab Testing

ACCU BIO-CHEM LABORATORIES OF GLENDALE, CA conducted a Preservative Efficacy Test in June of 2017. This test showed the elimination of microbials from the use of Schmitz Salve®. With an acceptance criteria of at least a 99.9% reduction of vegetative bacteria and 90% reduction of yeast and mold within 7 days following microbial inoculation and no increase for the duration of the test period, the results lend itself to the legitimacy of our product. ACCU BIO-CHEM LABORATORIES OF GLENDALE, CA conducted an Antimicrobial Efficacy / Time-Kill Analysis Test in July of 2017. This test showed that Schmitz Salve® formula eliminated 99.999% of bacteria within 30 minutes, and 99.99% of Yeast & Mold within 1 hour of coming in contact with the product. CANTOR RESEARCH LABORATORIES, INC OF BLAUVELT, NY conducted a Repeat Insult Patch Test in September of 2017. A Repeat Insult Patch Test, or RIPT, is done to determine a products potential for sensitivity, irritation, or an allergic reaction. This test showed that C.Schmitz Drawing Salve® may be considered as a NON-PRIMARY IRRITANT and a NON-PRIMARY SENSITIZER to the skin. Read the results here: RIPT testing

How to Apply

Please apply a good amount of the salve to the cut or wounds and cover it with a Band-Aid or bandage. Should you choose to use tape and bandages, non-stick pads work much better than gauze. Change daily until you achieve desired results.

Side Effects

To date, we have not received any side effect reports for Schmitz Salve®.
